Hi
Anyone else think NetFlix streaming content would be nice through the Dish receivers? With the Net connection I bet they could make it work!
I mean many devices offer it now... XBox360, Samsung/LG Blu Ray players, Sling Box, TIVO, Roku player ....
Or maybe jump in with BlockBuster who just started their own streaming service!
Drop a email to Dish if you agree!

Netflix streaming is available for internet and dvd recorders. I doubt most people would want to take up hard drive space on the Dish receiver to use Netflix.
Well, it streams so apart form a temp buffer it doesn't take up space really...
But having streaming via the Dish Box would be a one less component .... and lets face it TV "channels" are done. The sooner we can get to true ala carte viewing the better. We have the network connection... why not?
Has anyone ever worked out how much precious recreation time is squandered channel surfing?
These days I'm watching a lot of material from Netflix Hulu, ABC Episode Streaming, various other "live" sources... way more efficient and satisfying. I don't need to record any of these sources, it's just there. When I'm in the mood.
Take note Dish...
