Transfer 722 to new 722

My 722 receiver is having problems (a portion of the picture frequently freezes for a few seconds and then things go back to normal). Dish is replacing the receiver, but is there a way to transfer recordings from the old DVR to the new one without having to pay to activate the external hard drive connection?

In a word, NO.

In a word, NO.

I was afraid you were going to use that word.

There might be if you use an external hard drive.

complain to dish that the 722 has to be replaced and you want to activate the drive and see if they'll waive the fee- they did for me

It has NEVER been $75. It was originally $40, I believe it is $50 now.

It is still $40, and they won't waive it for me which ticks me off since the DVR was defective from day 1. Unfortunately, I am stuck in my contract.
