722 dvr remote ?

I have the 722 dvr and I can't seem to get the dish remote programmed to the onkyo 606 properly. It will turn it on and work volume but won't turn it off. I havn't plugged my hdmi cables in yet, don't know if that will help or not.

I actually didn't even know the VIP722 remote could be used with anything else. I just knew it would turn my TV on/off, but I never programmed it. I've never used the remote much because as soon as I got my VIP722 I programmed my Harmony 550 to handle it.

HDMI cables won't help with the remote though. If I had to take a stab at it I would guess the Onkyo picks up the frequency the remote is using to turn it on, but the remote isn't sending the right frequency for off.

It's because you don't have the right code. Do a code search on your remote, if it does not do all of the functions, you have the wrong code.
