Help no signal Bell

Yesterday I disconnected the power to my 9242 and also to the 24V power supply line to the switch while in the process of re-routing the HDMI cable ( i have two 3100's on separate TV’s and the 9242 is wired for two TVs also) I didn't disconnect any of the coax cables but now I can’t get a signal.
The Helpful guys in India or where ever they are had me run the switch diagnostic test which didn't help, but just afterward I was wiggling the 24v supply line to the switch and the signal jumped to power level 86 for just a few seconds. I have tried wiggling the cables but nothing seems to work.
Is it possible that I fried the switch? Bell Tech "NO-Help" would like me to have a service tech come and fix the coax connections and re aim the dish (none of which were changed or moved) for a service fee of $75 ++++".
Can anyone offer some suggestions? They would be greatly appreciated.

I did fry the switch. The little pin where the 24v power connects into the switch was broken off and lying on the floor beside the switch.
I connected the Satelite input line directly to the receiver (without the switch) and 3 of the 4 tv's are working ( I do't use the fourth one anyway). Will this hurt anything? Do I need this switch?

I am no expert, but my understanding is the switch is required to merge a signal from both sats in order to display hd. Are you receiving hd?

Also, the power boost may be related to the length of your cables out of the switch to your tvs.

You may wish to check out ebay for a Legacy Sw 44, you can sometimes pick them up for five or ten bucks (about $100. from Bell) but some of the switches are just a pass through so be careful, the one I got from a wholesale place in Quebec was a dish pro model 103368 and works great.

It is sad, but I hear you about trying to contact BEV, I have had more luck with a forum like this!!
