I just upgraded my receiver to Pioneer vsx-01txh. I hooked up the XA1, via HDMI, and although my discs have "True HD"on them, the receiver is only showing PCM 96khz.
I have tried every option on the setup of the XA1 (Auto, PCM, Bit) and picked the "Trued HD" option on the disc itself, but the reciver doesn't show Trued HD on the display. In fact when True HD is picked on the disc, the entire volume goes waaaaay down.
When you hit the display button on the XA1 remote, it does show Audio = True HD...Audio Out = Dig PCM.
My XA1 is firmware 2.0. Will a firmware update help or is the XA1 just not capable of audioing True HD?
