I have about a 3 y/o Samsung 30" HDTV (1080i) CRT. The picture went extremely warped, like you can't see anything but the middle third of the screen streatched to the full screen. I was wondering if that was repairable or should I just start saving for a new tv?

The image warping on their CRT's is a known problem with Samsung, but it generally is not as bad as you describe. I'm thinking you may have something as simple as a capacitor that has blown, and that would be a cheap repair. Find a TV repair guy that comes to the house, unless you really want to lug that bad boy in for repair. If you get a good guy, he can probably take one look at it and tell you if it's worth the repair. good luck.
