I am planning on buying a new CRT HDTV in the near future. Before I buy, should I buy an HD ready TV and the LST-4200 HD tuner or a TV with a built in HD tuner?
I read on this forum or the AVS forum that the next generation of TV's will have a 5th generation HD tuner chipset that will be better than the LST-4200's. Is this true? Should I wait? Does anyone know when the new TV's are coming out?

That LGE tuner is probably the best on the market currently. If you have issues with weak signals or multipath, it's the one to get.

From my own PERSONAL experience I have owned a tv with a built-in HD tuner and a tv that was HD ready without a built-in Hd tuner.
I got a sharper picture with the built-in HD tuner tv...even though I had no OTA antenna...
The picture on the built-in HDTV was excellent !
My guess is the satelite dishes are like big antennas and pick up any signals in the area..which makes for a sharper looking HDTV picture when you own a tv with a built-in HD tuner..

Your guess is imagination... sat dishes pick up NO RF signals.
