Which one should I get?

Both are excellant sets..The XS955 is on sale..The XBR is full manufacturers price..If you need the extra features buy the XBR..The XS955 is a better buy in my opinion..Not every CC carries the XBR,the XS is easier to find in my experiance..

Only the XBR models have Firewire for HD recording.

I did alot of research on both tv's. What I found out was they both have the same exact tube with the same exact picture.Also something called Super Fine Pitch.

I use to own the 34XS955 and I loved it! Extremely sharp detailed HD picture.I had to return it because of a family health related financial situation.I miss that tv.

The 34XBR960 though is suppose to be the BEST HD tv around.

Make that the best CRT HDTV...
