622 OTA input dead

I have to speak too soon, but I have not had any issues with this 622 since it was replaced in spring 06(i think it was 06).
All of a sudden i notice none of my OTA work, even though my antenna feed is to the box is good.

any ideas for a fix? Of course i do not have the "insurance" plan.

Did you unplug and let sit for 10 min. to see if it's a static problem? Also check to see if locals are still programed in the menu.

I would first call Dish and get the protection plan. Then rescan the OTA channels and see if that corrects the problem. Of course you want to check the cable to the antenna for breaks, etc., the connector ends to see if they are tight etc. If that doesn't fix it call Dish in about 2 weeks and you can have the 622 replaced under warranty.

Don't forget to check your settings first. I screwed up and thought my OTA was dead and had Dish send out a replacement unit. A few months later I checked the Dish tech portal website because i ran into the same problem and I had one setting incorrect.

I checked the fittings, and also made sure i had ota signal at the box (connected it to another TV).
Shut down unit for 10-15 minutes, all channels are in the guide, but when i go to set up ota channels, there is no signal.

That sucks since today is Redskins and NASCAR! Guess the wife will have to miss a repeat of John and Kate plus 8!!

Funny thing when i was checking my online account, i noticed they added the platnum plus package to my silver acct. I have heard about that happening to people when they go to paperless billing, so make sure you check your account every couple months.

All fixed. i shut down the system, deleted the channels, re-scanned, and all is up and running.

I also have to apologise to Dish. When they changed from the "metal" plan to the new plan i was paying 20/month. I still pay 20 per month just half of it is optional, so i dropped it. Now i just pay 10 for the silver turbo whatever it is.
