Got in late last night and while clicking channels I landed on shopNBC. They were hawking a 60" Samsung DLP with stand for $1,498.00. Is this any good? I have a 40" sony Bravia now, but am thinking of creating a media room. Opinions??
Thanks

I personally like DLP TV's. They generally have blacker blacks then LCD TV's and give a more theater like appearance when watching. I think you would be impressed.

I thought I hear DLPs suck because the moving parts wear out quickly and are costy to repair. I'd stay away from DLP anything.

Did they ever solve the video lag problem with DLP and video games? Got a buddy who returned his DLP after a week because he couldn't play any games on it. I know they had problems in the beginning, but haven't heard much lately except that a lot of new projectors are coming out DLP.

The very first DLP's had the video lag. I bought mine 2 years ago and there is no lag when gaming. I am sure if there was, my 2 teenagers and their friends would be complaining.
