Multi-room DVR for cablevisionlcrngrs 10-23-2008, 06:50 AM Does anyone know if Cablevision will getting a multi-room DVR? Wonder if I will ever see it. I wanted DVR video on my cell phone. Motorola is bragging it up like it is already happening. I have not confirmed it anywhere. Check out this link. http://www.motorola.com/business/v/index.jsp?vgnextoid=853f693fc2166110VgnVCM10000084 06b00aRCRD&vgnextchannel=8d6fda94a6b86110VgnVCM1000008406b00a RCRD jquick77 10-24-2008, 01:35 AM Don't know about the Multi room DVR, but I sure wish that they would update their guide and menu system. They are painfully slow, and lack a lot of features. deadhead68 10-24-2008, 10:06 AM Welcome to High Def Forum. Comcast has told me they are testing new stuff. Wonder if I will ever see it. Motorola has the STB's and software to allow access to the main DVR from any TV in the house. However, Comcast has not figured out how much $$ to charge for this feature. Also, there is nothing in the works. at Motorola anyway, to be able to watch content from your DVR on your cell phone. What is going to be able to happen is you will be able to schedule a recording to happen on your DVR from you cell phone or computer. The menus are a million times better and being able to create my own personal channel list was a great feature. Cablevisions favorite button on the remote doesn't quite cut it. :) jquick77 10-24-2008, 08:43 PM Good point. I always had Dish Network and Cablevision at the same time, but recently gave up dish. I had Directv, and the menu system was much better, and my parents have Time warner cable, and they are also better. I wonder if cablevision will ever update? | |
