What peeps don't realize is that Tom Brady has had 110 starts, Matt has 6.

Rodney is done for the season for sure. after the play Bruschi went up to harrison and looked like he said a prayer, both are very religious people, and after the play Bruschi walked up to Bill and said something to the effect of it's bad. Bill's expression changed quickly because it was obviously bad news.

that whole moment pretty much told me Harrison is in bad shape. i just hope he isn't hurt so bad that he decides to not come back. Harrison was a much better player then most people give him credit for. it's no coincidence that the Pats were great at stopping opposing tight ends and Harrison's job was to stick those tight ends. he pretty much shut down Tony G. who is maybe a top 2 tight end ever. i'm not saying he's a great coverage guy but he is a whole lot better then most will give him credit as being.

i'm surprised by this games final score. i'm not surprised at how Bill played so aggressive. him and Shannahan are both considered the top 2 coaches in the league and when they play both coach to destroy the opposing team. i watched Denver kills us in Denver and Mike never took his foot off the gas. Bill seemed to take acception to this multiple times.

I don't see this becoming a trend with Cassell. he pats the ball right before he throws and once defenses catch on with that they will start jumping routes. Bledsoe did this and got away with it for many years because his arm streangth was so dam good.

we might see some improvment in his confidence but he is still is stick and throw QB. he doesn't see his second options often enough and doesn't read the defense as quickly as he needs to. look how many times we have seen him stare down Moss and that ends up costing them a sack but somebody, mostly Watson, is sitting wide open with nobody around him. it's happened a bunch of times every game so far.

I remember the last time Rodney got hurt, I forget the team they were playing. Rodney was hit flipped up in the air, and came down on his knee/leg. I knew it was really bad. He was out for the season, and I was depressed.

You're right, I think he is underated around the league, but not in NE. He had a bad rep before coming here, just like Moss did. They said he was going to retire this year, but wanted to come back, and play again. I hope your wrong about being out for the season, but if he is at least you prepared me.

About Cassel, well the game did give him confidence. I bet Bill will have him watching all his mistakes in the screening room Mon morning. For someone who has no real time experience I think he did a really good job tonight, despite all those dam sacks, lol.

Depends on how seriously Cutler is hurt.

It was a good win for them and a good confidence booster for Cassell, but I am still skeptical. Denver does have the worst defense in the NFL and New England didn't start taking advantage of the secondary until Champ Bailey went out. But Denver does have a good offense and NE did a good job of shutting it down.

I think there still good enough to make the playoffs, especially with San Diego and Indy struggling.

Pats lost the game, Jets didn't win it thats for sure. Farve is still garbage at this point in his career. What do ya know, Farve has thrown for the most INTs so far this season. Before the season started I said Pennington would have less turnovers then Farve. You thought otherwise. Weird how that works huh.

You know what is really bad news for F91? The Phins have been playing like crap. There is no way they beat NE this week unless they pull their heads out.

yeah, there is a lot going against them for this matchup... They have been playing like crap (as you just mentioned), they already beat NE earlier (tough to sweep the season series), and NE had extra time to prepare for this "revenge" game, as they haven't played since their Thurs night match against the Jets.

Porter has had a lull lately in what has been an All-Pro season. The offense has been inconsistent but the Defense has been pretty good. I really look forward to the opportunity to beat down the pats, but I'm not so excited about this one. Heck, they've overachieved so far and I'll take it.....but beating the pats twice? That would be special to me.:angel

The Dolphins need to take notes from the Redskins and feed the ball to Ronnie Brown more like the skins do Portis. He's never given a chance to get in any kind of groove.

I would agree, except that Long is now hurt and they had a tough time running with him in the locker room. Williams has been very good too, but neither can get a rhythm.
Portis is just a plain stud, period. Watched him tear up the Seahawks yesterday and he did it at about 80%. Tough, tough runner.

So the Pats are done for the season, even 11-5 wasn't enough to get to the playoffs... crazy huh? This team is still leagues ahead of anyone in the division... they lost pretty much all key players... yes, all their key players throughout the season and still came out with a more than respectable record.

I am not a fan of any of these teams but I don't understand why you would make that comment unless your just mad cause Miami won the tiebreaker & the Division. I agree the Jets & Favre suck, but gee wizz give the fish some credit.

Even if Brady would not have gotten hurt the Patriots would not have won anymore games because the QB play never hurt them imo. It was lack of a solid running game & a mediocre defense. And even with a lousy running game Cassell still put up solid #'s as there offense was only really shut down once this year & that was by Pittsburgh. The weather kinda stifled them today also.
It's gonna be interesting to see who cassell is starting for next year since Brady will be back for NE. I say he goes to the Chiefs.

I think everybody thought they would win a few games this year, but win 11 & the division...wow...I would liked to have had a dollar on the odds on that in Vegas before the season started.
They play the Ravens so I think they could win at least one playoff game but no more, but who knows in the NFL as anything can happen.

Your defense is getting old. Injuries to Harrison are becoming more frequent. Thomas has been injury prone his whole career. It really showed this year and none of them are getting any younger.
Maroney has been injury prone too, so who or what do you draft next year? There are quite a few holes to fill, so, while worry may be a harsh term, I think concerned might be a good phrase.

First of all congrats F91 for your Dolphins win and please if you guy's get a chance kick the Colts ass. Now as far as the Pats and loseing players I think any team that loses as many starters as the Pats have would be in trouble but I am not worried at all seeing that we went 11-5 without them. Yes getting them back will improve depth and can only help but to see the way they handled their situation I am enthused about what next season can be. I think Brady will be back but if not and they can't keep Castle that will be the only problem that I would be ''concerned'' about. I have confidence in the best coaching staff in the league,imo, that they will have a plan. See now this is some good stuff to talk about! Our secondary is pretty young. I doubt Harrison comes back next year. We need a solid CB bad. Our rookie CB Wheatly got injured in the only game he really played in. He is superfast and could be a good corner. All we need is another good ILB and we can get rid of the aging Bruschi. That defense isn't really that old.

I would give Maroney another shot next year but one more injury and he is gone. If we really need Cassell we can franchise him. It would suck spending that much money on him but we just might if Brady is still on the shelf.

If we get rid of Bruschi and Harrison then we have Seymour, Vrabel and Thomas as really the only older players on our defense. Thats not that old. Ferguson, Holliday, Ayodele and Porter on the Dolphins are just as old. That mean you have a an aging defense too?? Actually that makes the Dolphins D look slightly older than our D.

Next years starters possibly.

Wheatley - CB 1yr
Meriweather - SS 3yrs
Sanders - FS 5yrs
Vrabel - OLB 13yrs

It would be really awesome to see the fish in the super bowl what a turnaround but I think the AFC Playoffs are just too tough with the Ravens Steelers and those darn Colts but I am a diehard Birds fan so it doesnt really matter as long as the Eagles are the opposing team they really do have a great shot to advance they beat three out of the six nfc teams and this weekend they match up real well with the Vikings The Panthers are a serious threat.....Enjoy All The Games.GO E-A-G-L-E-S...

Ted Ginn Jr. who is a solid WR from a top rate college in a top rate state played the #1 role very well this season as he had the most catches & averaged over 14 yards a reception & he is only in his 2nd year. A Moss or Owens no, but like the many great WR's before him from Ohio St. he will be a solid NFL WR.

We have to keep in mind the team is very young.Chad brought veteran leadership to the team.Now in years 2 or 3 for those other guys to step their games up.What know what Ronnie and Ricky can do and Greg Camarillo and receiver spot.
