Hello,

I have never programmed my universal remote as my TV guy did it for me when we first bought the remote and had Direct TV.

Now we have U-verse and my TV guy has moved to Washington. I need to figure out how to program this remote for the box which is in my media closet. I went through the manual and tried to do it plugged into my USB on my computer, didn't work. Is there something I can do by pointing it actually at the U-verse box and setting it up? Or can anyone else help me? I have this unbelieveable remote but it works only for my receiver and CD player.

Desperately need help. Brad

They have changed their policy to not make the software available to users. To reprogram that remote you need to use a computer and yes then you can learn the U-verse IR codes. There could be codes downloadable from remotecentral as well. Your best bet will be to get in touch with an installer in your area. Try Universal Remote Control Model MX-900 (http://www.universalremote.com/product_detail.php?model=37) for a dealer locator.
