Well, as some of you know I'm a Kings fan and we are expected to be one of the worst teams in the league. We are going through a youth movement right now, and while our record may not be very good, it's still exciting to watch.
We are up 4-2 on Anaheim right now. Man that Dustin Brown is going to be good for a long time.
Alright, so how's your team expected to do this year?

Well, as you can see from my avatar, Blackhawks all the way. The expectations are pretty high this year for the hawks, but that doesn't mean results. Now that Billy Jr.has taken over, he has revitalized this franchise once again.. Finally. 22k fans for a preseason game here... Haven't seen that before here. I remember the good ol days as a kid going to the Chicago Stadium and lovin the Hawks win or loose. The loudest place I have ever been to for a sporting event... Even though they haven't started off well 0-2-1) I think this will be a good seaonon and will be quite a few to come. This team is very talented and very young. And they have some very good talent in the minors as well. I just hope the expectations this season is not going to put tons of pressure on this youn team. Either way, great to finally see televised home games again and to see some of the old Blackhawks greats finally getting their due. Go Hawks!!!!!

Hockey is my favorite sport! RANGERS!!!!!!! I'm happy with their season so far. Especially when they beat the Devils! This team was very questionable in the pre-season, but they lines really seem to be working together and gelling.

What a disappointing start to the season. You knew that was going to happen after the “Red Carpet” treatment they got for their first home game. I think they should win something before they generate so much hype. I see what McDonough is trying to do but he may have jumped the gun a little here.
Even with the addition of Campbell the D looks a little week early and they have to move Khabibulin. I like the future but I want to see some results now. We Blackhawk fans have been very patient and it’s time for some return.

Yea, I heard it on the radio a few hours ago. It's really sad, and reminds of the old days when Senior Bill was running things. I'm not sure that Savvy was the best coach, but you don't treat a hall of famer that way. If they had any balls they would have fired him before the season started. But ever since they hired Scotty Bowman as a consultant the writing for Savard has been on the wall. Quenville has been seen at practices taking notes so this move was immanent.
It took years for Bobby Hull and Stan Mikta to come back to Hawks, I’m afraid this move will set their PR back a little, but if they win all will be forgotten.

Well as a HABS fan it pains me to watch them some nights it seems recently we just never know what team is going to show up. I was pissed at teh SO loss to Columbus and even moreso with the loss last night to Carolina giving up 2 goals in just over 3 minutes.

I'll never complain about a 13-5-3 record, but I've never seen a team with such a good record play so lousy.
I can't wait to see what kind of record they rack up once they start playing for 60 minutes every night.

Yeah, I've read a few stories posted this morning that Avery is done with the Stars. Here's one of them:
From same source I got that he was canned, Stars had a clause in his contract for this very possibility. Essentially it was a shut up and be a good boy or you're done. One place reported that 66% of the players in the NHL claim Avery is the most hated of all players.
Source above also noted that this was the end of the line for Avery. That this was the straw that broke the back. A lot of people are claiming that this was too much for an off comment, but the inside story is that the league has been done with him and only trying to find a way to boot him. Finally he gave them what they wanted. Once again, I can't prove any of this so you are all welcome to take this as nothing more than opinion.

Well it would be a smart move on the Stars part for sure. The NHL handed him a 6 game suspension but I think the Stars will make it longer and hopefully that clown will be removed from the game of hockey altogether.
Fox Sports had an article on the top 10 pests in teh NHL and Avery was voted #1 by 70% of the players in the NHL. Here is the link to the article.

A lot of people are down on Giguere (GM, not the goalie) for not putting together a better team, but I like his style so far actually. He's not willing to give up young top prospects for short term UFA rentals. LaCroix was notorious for undercutting the future for these high priced rentals. So yeah, it's tough now, but they will be back in 3-4 years LOL! I'm very happy they signed Stastny to a long term deal. He's the future leader of the team. And don't tell the other Avs fans, but I think it's time Sakic and Foote retired. Make some room for youth.

Ya Foote is getting long in the tooth and Joe although a great leader has lost a step or 2 kinda like Stevie Y in Detroit when he hung them up. It will be sad to see such a great team guy and leader leave the team and retire but it is getting close to that time I think.

There for a while I was beginning to worry about the Avs. 3 wins in a row was just uncalled for. Thankfully they have lsot 3 in a row to make up for it. I was afraid they may actually maintain an over .500 position. These last 3 games have restored order to the world and they are safely back at .500 even. Dodged a bullet there.
