Anybody tried it yet, if so, is it any better than regular PPV movies?

I just rented a VOD movie (journey to the center of the earth) and it looked good, better than a DVD at 720p.
Good for 24hrs.
Couldn't record it though.

On my 1080p tv it still showed as being 1080i so what's up with that, isn't VOD supposed to be bumped to 1080p?

It ain't that bad, if you want to pay $6.99!

If it's a movie you really have been waiting to see an do not want to bother to rent or purchase, it is pretty good. Otherwise, I save PPV for something very special I can not find easily somewhere else. Can't beat the best HD disk transfer for PQ.

If the VOD movie is a 1080p/24p movie it will state so. Your TV also has to be able to handle the 24p or the movie will be downrezed to either 1080i or 720p.

FYI: I rented it to see if it looked better than a DVD and it did, so now I'm more inclined to buying a BR player (PS3) and start getting/renting BD.
