:banghead:I have the following items:Sanyo LCD HDTV & RCA HD DVD Surround Sound System & Scientific Atlanta Explorer 4250HDC cable set top box.All three items have HDMI,S-Video, Composite a/v Connectors, Optical Digital Audio connectors, RF Coaxial connectors, and Digital Audio Connectors.All i want to do is to have my surround sound work at all times when the TV is on.I have tried at least ten different sights on different ways to do this and i have failed each and every time.Can somebody PLEASE give me a diagram that will accomplish this!Thanks

Connect your cable box to the TV with HDMI. Connect your cable box to the RCA receiver using optical digital audio (Toslink). Turn the volume all the way down on the TV, turn the volume up on the receiver and voila! Also connect the RCA DVD system to the TV with HDMI.
