Hello,
I will be hanging my 50 inch plasma on my wall and I would like to put an outlet behind it. I also want surge protection there. I have seen units ranging from $99 to $200. Can anyone who has a in wall surge protector share their experience/suggestions? Thank you very much!

I was looking at that one. Inntially I was told I just needed one unit for $99.00 (this was from the huge store where I am buying my tv!!). Then I saw that site and it looks like you need two units along with some other stuff. Seems like a lot to deal with. It would be nice to just find one unit that had surge protection.

If you want protection for the plasma-- then all the devices that provided wired input to the plasma need to be protected . . .

Am I correct in assuming that the only other way to do this is to have an external surge protector ( a strip model) on the floor and have to run the plasma power cord down to it? I know there are things that can hide cables on the wall, but I kind of wanted to go for the clean look.
