Come on, there is no need to act that way on these forums. As you can see I am not a spammer, and I am a reputable professional in the industry. I would like to see these forums be a free and open place for individuals to share. I just wanted to share a resource for others who may be interrested. If you are not interrested, simply don't visit the site.
Thanks

That was not meant as an insult to you. We just have had quite a bit of spam being posted in the last several months. I also did NOT report you so all is well.:)

Thanks Goofnut for the reply, I definately appreciate the fact that you're wanting to keep the forum free from spam, I actually stopped visiting a couple of forums that I have enjoyed commenting on in the past due to excess spam. Thanks again.

Let's see, some of the RULES of this forum are:

No posting links to other forums with the exception of HighDefDigest.com and AVRev.com.
-No using your URL as a user name.
-No promotion of your personal site or a site you stand to profit from. (unless posted in the Spam Forum)
-No 'helping people' by advertising your site to them or a site you stand to profit from.

So you seem to think that these rules do not apply to you???
I think they do.
We'll leave it for the admins/mods to decide.

However, in anticipation of their decision . . . bye bye :hithere:

What a warm, responsive welcome Scottnot. However much I enjoy your iron fist, I would just like to comment on the fact that you chose to quote "no helping people" I may be mistaken, but isn't that sort-of the entire point for a forum to exist? Just an editorial comment, no need to pull out the ban hammer, unless of course it is against the rules to bring to light some useful information for those people who are interested in being successful in the field of HD video.

I agree that it needs to stay on the forum, but just needs to be moved to a different subforum.

ThanksNice to see forums that are free & open... but; wait these forums cost money to run.... humm.. not free for the operators, but free for me to use their paid for bandwidth. It's nice to see links to other sites with like minded people... saves me a Google, but knowing how these places make a dollar or two, I'll play by the rules and trust those rules to keep the forum alive for us to share.

ah802 you have a point in the fact that forums, blogs, websites, they all take revenue to run, moderate, post and maintain. But just a quick look around here and I notice advertisements. I doubt that highdefforum.com is in the red when it comes to the balance sheet every month. The 12kb of space that my posts take up on their servers probably won't break the bank this month. If it does, I have a few spare gigs I would be happy to share on my server. I'll expect someone to be in touch.
Thanks

I finally have a place to call home, I like it here in the promotions, announcements section. It's cozy.
