MLB Network

The MLB Network begins at the beginning of 2009. But, will it be available on Dish Network? We have NFL Network, Big Ten, NBA, NHL, etc. but I did see DirecTV and some other cable companies are part owners of the MLB Network. With the absence of MLB Extra Innings on Dish, does that mean we'll be out of luck with MLB Network too?

Bet on it.

I wouldn't, MLB Nework was to run with the Extra Innings package, since Dish will not be able to have that package for many years, I doubt we will the channel.

Personally I would like it if Dish (and any cable companies who can't offer it) drop both the NFL and MLB. To sign a contract with one provider is bull. I can't say I would pay the extra money for either but I shouldn't be excluded because I can't get a D signal either. If that's how MLB or NLF was to play then I say cut the strings and the money they get.

Sorry for the rant.

Just a friendly clarification ... by "bet on it", I mean you can bet on Dish NOT carrying the MLB Network.

I can't believe you people wine and biatch about dish network and their horrible service when it comes to sports.

Look if you want mlb network and the rest of the sports world to go along with movie channels get directv.

every city people should use directv except for those who live in the philadelphia sports market.

for those who live in philadelphia get comcast, manily because comcast wont broadcast CSN philly to satellite customers.

outside of that directv is the best handsdown.

as of today 36 cable and directv have inked deals to offer mlb network on new years day dish hasnt yet.

need I say more, why dish is in business is beyond me.

thanks,
