has anyone have or see the same problem i seem to be having...I have TWC(queens)Hollis to be exact....and when smallville comes on thur nights its in hd and suposed to be in dolby digtal.....but since last year it comes in pro logic II.....i have an onkyo(604)7.1 receiver via hdmi.....i even taped it in living room which i have

and it did the same thing.
i notice when it goes to comercial its in DD and when supernatural its in DD...its something minor but a bit anoying is there anything i can do on my end...

Pro Logic 2 is your stereo only. Mine would just do Pro Logic. I once watched Smallville over a year ago, and only got Dolby Digital 2 track. At that time I would have guessed that everything on CW was 2 track. Some stations only do 2 track. Movie channels routinely switch back and forth from 2 track to 5.1 depending on the material. Sometimes I have got On Demand 2 track of CBS shows that I know could be 5.1. Now I have seen Gossip Girl on CW with 5.1, so they obviously can do it. Are you sure that Smallville was 5.1? Perhaps it was never any other way.

i'm positive it has been in dd last year then it started just in plogic mid year....all other shows i watch on cw hd are in dd..supernatural which comes on after it.90210 comes in DD..even mets games come in dd...its odd cause if u look at the info off the show(it says dd)and when it goes to comercial its goes to DD then back to PLII durring show

You are placing your words in a public forum. You have no idea how many people will see them. Type in english. Think about some punctuation beyond "...". Write in sentences.
You make reference to "DD". I will spell it out, Dolby Digital 5.1. You also refer to "PL2". No TV is really Pro Logic 2. That is just your stereo doing what it does. HD may be Dolby Digital 2 track. Just because it is 2 track, it is no less Dolby Digital. It would appear that is what you will get with Smallville. The TV guide may not really say what you will get. Since you have a good stereo, the effect should be impressive. Watch your show, and enjoy it.

My Onkyo tx-sr604 receiver shows PLIIX movie(i have a 7.1 setup),when smallville is on.Its suposed to be in Dolby Digital 5.1(in my case it will show Dolby D Ex,cause off the 7.1 setup)Now all other shows i watch are in Dolby Digital 5.1,which are 90210,supernatural,even Mets games have come in Dolby Digital 5.1.I don't know if this is an eror by TWC or whatever.

why does this still happen,it still goes Pro Logic II and thats with my new receiver sony str dg820,funny how commercials are in Dolby Dig but smallville aint.supernatural is and its on same night.i noticed the week the jets played the pats on thursday night,they had smallville on a dif night and time slot and it was in dd.
