Best Built-in HD Receiver

I expect to purchase more HDTVs instead of separate HD receivers. I have a 56MX195 in a basement whose HD reception is much better than my Insignia. Is it as simple as the more expensive the TV the better the internal receive will be or is it more complicated than that?

Yes, you've summed it up correctly. There are a few brands that put a bit more work in their receivers than others.. In the vast hard nose pricing wars, few people will pay extra for a quality amps and reception.. but when one comes around those people rave about it and pass the word. I suggest you hang around the forums looking for those raving.
