I'm having a Panasonic plasma delivered on Saturday. For the best surround set up is it best to run HDMI from AV components into the TV and run digital audio out of TV to Onkyo receiver? Or is it best to run HDMI from AV components into the Onkyo receiver and HDMI out to television? I'm assuming the latter, but wasn't sure of any advantages or drawbacks. I just wanted to have my game plan ready when things arrive on Saturday. Thank you in advance for you help!!

It would be best to run HDMI into the 705 and then the single HDMI out to the TV IMO. The digital out is mainly used for the built in digital tuners and will most likely pass the digital audio from your components as PCM 2 channel. Not 100% sure if that is still the case with the new models, but believe so. And since you have a PS3, you will definately want to run the HDMI to the receiver for Dolby True HD and DTS HD-MA.
