TV speaker output

I am away at college right now with my Sharp LC-32SH12U tv and I am looking to invest in some small external speakers for it. At home I have a full surround sound set but I don't have room for something like that here.

My TV has two separate audio outputs on it, a RCA style Red/White connection and a Digital Audio out (orange). I am really looking for something that is relatively inexpensive, maybe $100.

I have some Z-2300s for my computer so I was also thinking I could find some sort of splitting device that will allow me to use the 2300s with my TV.

I am not really an audiophile so the splitting idea would be really nice for me. When watching movies on my TV the sound seems so low I have to put the TV up to nearly maximum in order to hear it clearly.

Thanks for the help!

You definitely can do that, check out Monoprice.com for the connectors or splitters as they have pretty much anything and everything you will need..
