Motorola HD DVR 15 second back

All of a sudden this week - my 15 second back button goes back 5 minutes. I thought it was only my problem. Last night I visited a friends house - the same problem.

What's going on? The 30 second forward button and the 15 second back button use to work fabulous together.

Yeah, I don't why they changed it from 15 second to 5 minutes. Especially since the 15 second back button is one of the most useful buttons on the remote.

I just programmed the PIP minus button to "15 second back" based on instructions I found on Wikibook:

1. Press the "Cable" button at the top of the remote to put it into Cable Box control mode.
2. Press and hold the "Setup" button until the "Cable" button blinks twice.
3. Type in the code 994. The "Cable" button will blink twice.
4. Press (do not hold) the "Setup" button.
5. Type in the code 00179.
6. Press whatever button you want to map the 15-second back command to (ex: A / Lock). The "Cable" button will blink twice if successful.

I did not use the "Page Down" button because it will not function correctly if you assign it as the 15 second back button.
