howdie guys, i have a 16 gauge monoprice speaker wire cable running from my reciever to all my speakers(def tech ProMonitor 1000s), my reciever is the onkyo sr606, my question is, if i were to replace the speaker wire with a 12 gauge speaker wire, would i notice a difference in sound or no?

Depends on the distance but I would say NO.

Well the surrounds are about 30 ft i think if im not wrong, the fronts are very close to the reciever so the wire is about 10 ft id say for the fronts.

The 16Ga should be just fine and a larger speaker wire will give you no performance or audible benefit.

Depends on the line run. I use 12 gauge speaker wire in all my applications as the price difference is not a lot and you are prepared for long runs. If memory serves me I bought a 200ft roll of 12 gauge speaker wire from Home Depot for about $20.

Don't let people convince you that you need Monster speaker wire at $5 a foot.
