speaker difference

is there really a big difference with these two speakers?

anything that I will really notice at least?

I've got the RTi series bookshelfs and they sound great.

Depending on your room size, with a proper sub you wouldn't even need the towers.

The i8 should indeed sound "noticeably" better than the i300. I don't have any experience with these speakers but I have always found that higher classes of speakers from the same manufacturer always sound better. The difference between a $200 speaker and a $400 speaker could be dramatic. It "appears" the i8 has a better tweeter and that always pays dividends, at least for music. Demoing the speakers is the only way to know anything however.
