We need an international tech section.

I'd like to know how the technology is evolving in Japan, europe, S. america, Middle East, Australia, just to name the big ones, just to know what's going on thechnology-wise in the rest of the world, so that we'll know what they have in other countries in regards to HD stuff, like tv's, what brands they have, the format they use in different countries...
All we, I, know about HD stuff is 1080p, 16x9, I'd like to know how it is around the world and also know what countries have better stuff (Japan is obvious) and what countries are behind.
And have international links of electronics websites to keep up like we have Engadget here, and intl stores to see what they have, like Bestbuy that we have so we can see what other countries have.

Anybody else thinks this would be a good idea?

I know, but that doesn't inform me on anything internationally.

You can always start a thread with that topic in one of the forums, keep updating it yourself and see how it goes. For example in the HDM section, there are threads about the japanese market or the european market. In many cases interest is rather low though, as long as there isn't anything (off-topic) to fight about in the threads.... :lol:
