Shielded power cord?

I can't seem to find a 20' "shielded" power cord for my Panasonic plasma. I've emailed many manufactures with no luck/no answer.

I will need to run the power cord with an Atlona flat HDMI cable specified as "High-Density triple shielding for maximum rejection of EMI and RFI"

and speaker wires from Impact Acoustics 16/2 CL2 in wall rated with "Twisted pairs to cancel common-mode noise".

All will run thru a custom mantle and along the floor.

My question is can I get away with an unshielded power cord given the apparent noise interference protection of the HDMI cable and speaker wires?
Or keep looking for a shielded power cord to avoid any noise?

Thanks for anybodys input.

Your stock cable is probably fine. But if you have issues finding a "shielded" power cable, you can always attach a couple ferrite beeds/cores on either end to help as well. Some TV's like mine, include them with the TV. Or can be purchased very cheap. Plus, as long as your A/V cables a good quality and well shielded, I doubt you will have any issues even without the cores..

Interestingly, I remember buying an additional IEC power cord for PC use at RS a couple of years ago. It had a tag on it explaining it was a shielded cable. Generally it's more expensive to manufacture a shielded cable than attaching or molding in a ferrite core piece.

Sorry for the lateness of this. Just joined the forum. Ram Electronics will make you a shielded cable out of Belden 19364 shielded cable at whatever length you need. Will also put a shurter right angle IEC plug which worked great on my plasma for clearance.

If you are at all handy with tools (soldering skills would be handy) and have access to a good electrical supply house it's actually very easy to build your own shielded power cords.

If 18 AWG is enough, you need how ever many feet of Alpha 1941/3F or an equivalent cable and and IEC 60320 C13 line socket for the device end. Of course you can pick up a suitable plug at any hardware store. The shield simply connects to the ground wire.

Alpha 1943/3F is the same thing in a 14 AWG cable.

I'm in the process of developing a few of these for a product we manufacturer so I'm currently doing this.
