Relatively new to the game - just got a 50" Pani800U and now I'm itching for more.
The next most logical purchase would be an AVR...that being said I'm very enticed by all the high-end AVR features but after thinking about it I don't want to over-buy (I'm sure some of you say no such thing) - but seriously I have limited space (main sitting area btw couch and tv is like 12ft) so I'll never have the space for true 7:1 and I live in a townhouse community so I can't blast too hard.
Also, I have HD DTV (HD-DVR) as my TV source. I'm sure my TV does some up-conversion on it's own (from what I've read). But is the HD-DTV feed to a cheaper AVR solution with say: 1080p passthrough going to make a huge improvement over HD-DTV Feed to a higher end AVR that can upconvert? Outside of picture the higher end AVRs are going to have a cleaner sound I presume - which is important to me but if I can't let the thing breathe a little am I doing it justice? Thoughts....thanks in advance guys!!
