I have a few years old plasma with built-in digital tuner, which I am waching OTA only.

Today, I installed digital converter box for my analog TV and am surprised with lots of feaetures DTV converter offers such as
Electronic Program Guide (EPG) and channel information banner at the top of the screen. None of such features is available with my plasma TV (panasonic TH 37PD25).

Does anybody know how I can add EPG feature to my TV.

I found Terrestrial HDTV Receiver that includes EPG features, but I am afraid that I would be paying a few hundred dollars for digital tuner, which i already have.

What is the best option for me? Is it usually TV that incorporates EPG function? I am confused... Thank you for your help!

Welcome to High Def Forum. Does not seem like you have a whole lot of choices. My TV does not have an on screen TV guide. A new tuner might be the least expensive option. You could buy a new TV, provided you find what you want. You could get pay TV with a box, or a Tivo. Wish I could help more. Perhaps someone else knows better.

thank you joekewl- hmm. so new tuner is the only way to go, i guess? do you know if a new tuner might make difference in how well it picks up signal? i can get major channels with no problem with the plasma and digital antenna i currently use, but i know there are other channels out there that my tv is not picking up.

would you say with a "better" digitial tuner i may be able to receive more channels even with the same antenna? or reception quality essentially relies on antenna only?
