Well it is easy to see that the owners of the Brewers have no expierience of being in a late season playoff race.
They fired Manager Ned Yost today.
I know they have been struggling but this firing is ridiculous & can only hurt the team. Imo I believe the Brewers will just keep falling & miss that wildcard spot, a spot they are tied for right now. With Yost, who knew everything about his team, they had a very good chance of getting that spot. This was a panic move if I have ever seen one.

Are you kidding me? My goodness, at least let Yost finish out the season and see how this plays out. To fire a manager with 2 weeks to go in the season and in the thick of the playoff race. What a bunch of idiots!

They have been talking about getting rid of Yost ever since their collapse last year. This is no surprise to anyone in my wonderful state of Wisconsin. It does suck for Ned but the fans were not going to tolerate this two years in a row. Melvin invested a lot in this team and they haven’t been in the playoffs since 82. Desperate times bring on desperate measures and though I am a Cub fan, I applaud this move. The players love and respect Dale Suvem, I think they will respond.

So far, I don't think this move has sparked the team much. The intent was to wake the team up and get them going knowing that people are losing their jobs over the players lack of productivity. It wasn't so much that Yost was to blame for the September slump. Yost probably was on his way out anyway, unless they at least made it to the LCS.
There's a sense of urgency here in Wisconsin. We haven't been in the playoffs since 1982. Next year, we probably won't have Sheets (which may not be so bad) and there's a 99% chance Sabathia will sign elsewhere with a team with deeper pockets. This year is seen as "the year to go for it all".
As of now, we're one game behind the Mets. The Brewers are 11-1 against Pittsburgh this year as they begin a big three-game series at Miller Park. As much as it hurts for Wisconsinites to cheer for the hated Cubs, they're playing the Mets. Then we'll have to perform better in the final series against Chicago than we did last time.

I still like the Brewers chances. My Cubbies are relaxed and playing the Mets tough. When they get to Milwaukee for the last series they will be resting players and pitchers, it SHOULD be good for the Brew Crew. However, this team hasn't shown any guts down the stretch except for Fielder. Hopefully Braun wakes up and the Crew finishes strong. I'd like to see The Crew and The Cubs in the playoffs.

I'm not sure Yost getting fired was the reason they won, but somehow they pulled it off. Braun stepped it up and C.C. was unbelievable down the stretch.
