Need some help on my Yamaha, the lamp/cover light is on and appears to have hit the life of the lamp, although I checked the hours last week and it was at 1200, well below the 1600+ rating. I realize the 1600 is subjective and not always correct, so I am resigned to buying a new bulb (although the lamp life warning message did not come on before the system went inoperable).
I have unplugged it overnight, cleaned the filter, etc, no go.
Question is I can find the bulb for the least amount is $499 at partstore.com, anyone have any experience with this company, or a suggestion for any where else to buy a bulb? Direct from Yamaha is $650.
I also found on eBay a company called A1Service that will replace my bulb in the cage for a $250 exchange, ie, send my bad bulb/cage to them and they will replace it for $250. Anyone have any history with them or an opinion? Thanks.
