Has anyone here seen the Fox TV show Fring3 as played from their web site?

http://www.fox.com/fod/play.php?sh=fringe

I'm not a fan of the show, by any stretch of the imagination:rolleyes:, however, I am rapidly becoming a fan of this kind of Video Streaming, at this quality level!

Go full screen near the end of the show where there are lots of close ups. The detail level looks almost like broadcast quality HD! At least it does on my comp. screen scaled in the browser, up to about ~1280x900p

Anyone know what is going on behind the scenes, to get this quality level of streaming at Broadband speeds?

They probably are using an advanced codec. I watched the Lost episodes on the ABC website and was quite surprised at the quality. I wouldn't call it HD as they do, but very good nonetheless.

I remember the picture being smaller still. Inside the browser with graphics on the screen is not 720p. Full screen should fill my TV screen. ABC does the same thing. For the sake of convenience I have used internet from USA, SciFi, NBC also. Why will they not give us a picture that fills the TV screen??? My local FOX station has a rerun of the pilot of Fringe tonight. Think I will wait for that, and skip the internet.

I love video streaming. In this case, I think the quality is also quite good.

Its possibly Flash Media Server or H264 streaming

FLV Hosting is a provider of HD streaming

They also have players, encoder for PC and streaming hosting. I found them on flv help after searching for h.264 streaming info
