A buddy of mine made a comment to me the other day and it got me to wondering. Since most of our players (PS3) decode the signals of the format being viewed or listened to internally, Why buy an HD rcvr? He suggested just buying a 6 or 7 channel amplifier that has HDMI/ analog inputs. Im assuming that theres dedicated amps out there. If so, What are some decent ones in the $200-$1,000 range?
