UFC 88: Liddell vs. Evans

Can't wait to see my favorite fighter tomorrow night. I hope Chuck is ready to roll. If he wins we will probably see Chuck fight Forrest in December.

Yeah man, I'm counting down the hours. Just heard that the Karo fight has been scrapped due to him hurting his back. But this card is packed, I am a big Matt Hamill fan, of course Chuck, but for the most part this card has a bunch of guys who most fighters seem to respect.

I can't wait fr this fight, i will be buying it shortly

I'm heartbroken. Liddell is my favorite of all time, and to see him go down like that...my goodness.

Props to Rashad, but damn, Chuck is done. :crying:

We just got home from the event and it was an awesome show that the UFC puts on, if any of you have never been, it is worth the money. With that being said OMG, When Chuck hit the canvas the sound in Phillips Arena just went out like someone hit the mute button. STUNNED!!! I think the only sound I heard were 20 thousand jaws hitting the floor, or Chuck's head hitting the mat. Anyway here is a picture my wife took just a few seconds before Rashad delivered the KO blow. The second is the aftermath.

My wife took like 250 pics during the event, not sure how much live fighting she watched. I'll try and post some more good ones. We had great seats in the club level, just enough rows up to see over the floor crowd when they were standing.

I'm glad you were able to see Chuck live, even though that was the worst knockout he's ever had.

Yeah I think Chuck should call it quits. That was one of the worst KO's that I've seen. The only one that may have been worse was Nate Quarry getting dropped by Rich Franklin. The replays on the video screens were just brutal. Here is one pic of Chuck laying face down we took during one of the replays. The seats were pretty sweet, but we were not sure what side to be on when we bought them, and unfortunately all the fighters in the crowd were on the opposite side of us, but we did get to see Urijah Faber, Rampage, Forrest, Ken Flo, Dana and some others.

I agree that KO was devastating, chuck is my fave fighter as well but hee should hang them up...when they showed the super slo mo it reminded me of the rocky apollo end scene where both of them jumped in the ring(when they were friends) and threw a punch at the same time, only we got to see what happened wih chuck and rashad, it looked oike chuck could have landed the upper cut but rashad was a step quicker.


it's to bad b/c i thought rashad was showboating as well, dancing around the ring and acting like a fool....oh well, now i can't wait for lesnar and coture....

Dude, it must have been your camera flash that temporarily blinded Chuck, and then, BOOM!!
It seems like a good explanation, I guess.
Chuck has lost 3 of his last 4- I'm a big Liddell fan, but I think it may be time to hang up the gloves.:crying:

That was as devastating a knockout as I've ever seen. I was really worried that he wouldn't get up. Too bad, but it looks like that is a career ender. Good fights all night.

Looks like Evans earned himself a title fight. UFC says he and Forrest will be fighting on the December card. Should be another good fight.
I was hoping they would put Evans against Wanderlei Silva.
