Perhaps the link just didn't work and redirected to the charter website. SPAM? I seriously doubt it. tcario is a well respected member of this forum with over 1000 posts, makes no sense to allege that he would spam us.

Sorry guy's I don't know what happened. Strange , When I posted it I checked the link and it worked so I really don't know what went wrong. I will see if I can find it again because it was emailed to me and I don't know what site it came from. Anyway it was a video of people useing cell phones to pop corn. I will repost it if I can find it. Sorry for the screw up....:o

Cell phones do in fact send out MICROWAVES, that's how they work. It only makes sense they could pop corn.

Yeah, they use microwaves, but not anywhere near high enough wattage to pop corn. If they did you'd get a hole burned in your head the first time you held the phone up to your head to have a conversation.

I cannot access the video from work, but if it's the same video I've seen in the past, I believe it's 100% legit. From what I remember, they circle like 10 cell phones around some corn kernels, and call all the phones at the same time. As the phones start to ring, the corn starts to pop. It sounds crazy but I think it's possible.

I am at work as well but if we are talking about the same clip, it was proven to be a hoax made by makers of bluetooth headsets. Basically they took a microwave apart and placed the heating element under a table, the phones were placed on the table surrounding the kernels. The microwave was turned on and popped the kernels. Just do a google on "cell phone popcorn scam".
