Hello,
I'm considering purchase of a small LCD TV to use in my dorm room. As the price and space are very important factors for me I have been thinking about 14 or 15-inch. The one that Im thinking about however has considerably slow response time: 16ms. Does anyone know if it really matters in such a small screen? Will it be watchable? I don't plan to use it for playing computer games or anything like hat just watching tv or dvds...

With a response time that long you will get motion blur/artifacting/pixelization on fast moving action scenes or sports.

I would go with something bigger than that for sure, if you can, go for 22". Vizio makes a decent 22" Samsung makes a great monitor/TV at 22". Look into it, buying a 14"-15" anything makes no sense to me.

Well, I don't really have space for anything bigger than that:( I wanted to get lcd mainly because it's easier to move around, but now well i don't know. Should I just go for classic tv? Too bad there's almost no choice of these small lcds out there...

I would just see if you can get an old tube tv from a friend or for very cheap for now and wait to get an lcd when you have the space for a bigger one.

hard to believe 16ms would cause issues... I was going to suggest 15" Phillips LCD Crystal Clear refurbished off fleebay, wife has one and its got a great picture, but it has a 16ms response time... Sharp has a 19" with built in DVD player...that would save you a little room if the responce time is adequate...

I honestly wouldn't bother with a 15". 16 ms would cause a problem especially with video games.
