I read all the specs from various websites and reviews and I still can't find this anywhere.
Right now I'm selling my Epson Powerlite Home 10+. On the remote it has the "aspect" button. Rather than some projectors which change the 4:3 or 16:9 aspect, it allowed one to choose formats from: Zoom, normal, or squeeze.
When I looked up the information under "zoom" for the HD65 it just talks about its zoom 1.10x option. Instead of that I'm wanting to know if this projector has the feature to "squeeze" formats which are 4:3 to a 16:9.
A quick example would be from my Epson Powerlite Home 10+ I would play The Simpsons dvds. It is in a 4:3 format. However when I select "aspect" on my remote it would change through and I would select "squeeze." Which made it a 16:9 format & still proportional. The "zoom" option made it 16:9 as well but it was stretched too much so one couldn't see the edges of the video. Normal brought it back to 4:3.
Sorry I've only had 2 projectors and I know this Home 10+ had that feature. I'm just wondering if the Optoma HD65 has this feature to switch from 4:3 and stretch it to 16:9 and fill up my entire screen (no loss of image size then)? Thanks so much, I'm new to this. I'll most likely be buying the HD65 next week.
