I currently have TW cable with RR broadband in my home. U-verse is becoming available in my area soon and I am told that the installation services can run anywhere from 2-6 hours. Can someone give me a little heads-up on exactly what the process would be, such as, the installer shows up and........etc, etc, etc. Do they need to do anything outside the home, will they test and use the cable runs currently running to the 4 TV's (2 HD) hooked up now, do they set up some central box of sorts from which to run everything from, should I uninstall all of TW's stuff before they arrive, and so on and so forth. I am also switching to their broadband service as well as their phone service, does the router they install have outputs so my wired computers (3) and my wired PS3 can stay wired. Being IP based, are the connections to their boxes by ethernet cable or the existing coaxial or some combination of both, are there any special preperations I should make? All of my cable runs were here when I bought the place and the place wasn't wired when built, I have cable that comes out of registers, up out of the floors, etc. Thanks in advance, any info would be appreciated.

Hey Rich, what kind of drop wire comes from the pole to bring in service? Coax, regular phone wire or cat5 ?
