I have DISH vip211 STB with HD lineup. In my PC I have the new All in Wonder HD tuner card with a coax input only. How does one get the HD signal from the 211's various ports (component, HDMI, and analog coax) to the HD tuner in the PC to display and record HD content?
Include any possibilities...

Sorry to say it is not possible with commercially available equipment. Many of us would like to get HD material out of satellite or cable DVRs and due to the copy protection systems this is not possible.

You can do it if you buy one of these - http://www.hauppauge.com/site/products/data_hdpvr.html
HD PVR is the world’s first High-Definition video recorder for making real-time H.264 compressed recordings at resolutions up to 1080i. HD-PVR records component video (YCrCb) from cable TV and satellite set top boxes, with a built-in IR blaster to automatically change TV channels for scheduled recordings. Audio is recorded using AAC or Dolby Digital.
