HD-A3 Firmware question

SO I got a firmware upgrade for my A3 for version 2.0...but I never put it on. Just last week I got another one for version 3.0.

My question is Should I install 2.0 first, then 3.0. Or just go ahead and do 3.0 only?

thanks
Chris

If your HD-DVD player is working fine, I would recommend not updating the firmware. If it ain't broke don't fix it is a good rule of thumb concerning firmware. Several here have complained of problems after the firmware updates.

Now if you are having audio or video problems then by all means upgrade to 2.0 first and if that works then you're all set.

Then again. If his player is still under warranty, then NOW would be the time to update the firmware so if it fails for some reason, it will still be free to repair it.

It is the owners choice though.

Good thought, thanks for the extra viewpoint which I hadn't thought of.

I have an A2, and have installed every firmware revision Toshiba published for it. I have not ever had any problem. As with most firmware, you do not need to install a previous version prior to the latest one. The latest edition will include the previously issued changes.

You may skip Ver 2.0 and install Ver 3.0.
