Green Blinking Light Mitsubishi wd-52825

I can't get the "fast blinking green light" to go out on my tv. I have hit the reset button, unplugged from the wall(for about 1/2 hour)and plugged back in but still the light blinks. In the past unplugging always worked and this happened after we had a power failure. I have a surge protector so I am at a loss as to what to do next. My google search is not encouraging as it seems that this is a very common problem. Does anyone know what to do next?

more than likely, you have bad capacitors in your dm board or format board. we usually repair them for around $400 in the shop. it is not a fun job and i would not recommend doing it yourself.
