So it's now 7:53pm MST. At 9:15pm MST (11:15am Beijing time), Steven Lopez starts his attempt for his 3rd Olympic Gold in Taekwondo. I doubt NBC will be showing it, since his medal round is at about 5am tomorrow morning.
If you don't know, Steven is basically the best Taekwondo fighter ever. He's already a 2 time Olympic gold medalist and a 7 time World champion if you count his world junior championship in 1996. He hasn't lost a match since about 2003. Unfortunately he's also kind of boring to watch because he's mostly a defensive fighter when he's ahead. But if he ever get's behind! Look out.
Side note: Diana Lopez already took bronze in her class and Mark Lopez took Silver in his.

Why would we want to watch that or Judo or Shooting, when we could be watching our 58th game of BEACH VOLLYBALLLLLLLLLLLLLL.:banghead:
live updates are available on NBC.com
P.S. Handball was very cool.

Yeap, handball was great and so was womens speed walking today on Universal. So good in fact that they replayed it a 2nd time after it was done.
Looks like Taekwondo will have to viewed online like 18 said, unless you can grab a red eye to China. The last time I went to Beijing a couple years ago, it only took 13 hours nonstop from Chicago.

I'd take beach volleyball over judo or shooting anyday. But beach volleyball is huge in so cal, and may not be where you are. To each his own!

I was mildy interested since they are from Houston, but no contest as to which I'd watch between Tae Kwan Do and Beach Volleyball. I'd be checking the beach.
But congrats to the Lopez siblings - 3 medals is cool no matter the color.
Congrats to our Beach Volleyball teams as well. USA is doing pretty well in team sports except for track.

my aunt used to live next door to a judo master that ended up winning the judo world championship in 1999 in his weight class. he ended up being picked for the olympics but didn't have the cash to get to the games. we ended up throwing him a block party and raised enough cash to send him to the 2004 olympics. he ended up winning the bronze medal. for an american to win a bronze in a judo comp is a great feat. america has never been good in judo comp.

he used to watch my younger cousins while my aunt worked. can you imagine talking back to this babysitter? mom comes home and you're laying on the floor knocked out with a compound fracture.
