Wow..so many deaths in the news lately. I wonder who will be in line to replace him? Weren't there a few players trying to oust him?

I was just on my homepage and saw on SI.com that Gene Upshaw died of pancreatic cancer.
Hey played 15 seasons all with the Raiders. Appeared & won in 2 Super Bowls & was elected to 7 Pro Bowls, Inducted into the Football Hall of Fame in 1987.
We have lost a great player & person. He will be missed.

Trace Armstrong...really?? He was such an overrated player (TE?) for da bears back in the day... Was he the only player who applied or something?

He was a defensive lineman and was actually pretty good. He's been very active in the NFLPA.

Really sad to hear this, the guy wasn't even that old. Heck I remember watching him play not too long ago!
