So what's the deal with the olympics? Or, should I say NBCHD? I subscribe to the HD channels in U-Verse. NBCHD which I always got was fine the first couple of days of the olympics. Now it says I need to subscribe. I'm fuming!! First thing that really had ticked me off that AT&T has done.
Fortunately there are affiliate stations in HD.

You have a NBCHD channel? What channel number is that?

Interesting....
When I go to WNBCHD from the "GUIDE" it shows the program in progress in the small picture view of the "GUIDE". When I click OK to switch to that channel it still says "you are not subscribed".

1004 would be your local NBC station. I thought you had a national feed or something. Were you getting HD free for the 1st year and the time limit is up? Otherwise, get in touch with ATT.

I guess you could consider NYC local even though I'm in CT. My local NBC station is the one that can still get which is WVITHD channel 1030. Yes, HD free for the first year. I only subscribed in Feb so, I'm not even close to a year.
I will call today.

It's not blocked 24hours. Only when the Olympics are on.
My main reason for posing here was to see if anyone else was seeing this strange behavior. Are you seeing this rbinck, on your U-Verse subscription?

Well, it's fine now. I get WNBCHD (1004) fine now and can record it on the DVR. I was about to call and figured I would do a restart on the DVR since AT&T would inevitably tell me to do that.
That did it.
We had some extreme lightning in the area yesterday. Service must have been adversely effected since then.
ALL VENOMOUS STATEMENTS ABOUT AT&T RETRACTED!
One thing I've learned about U-Verse, and it doesn't happen often, if it's acting strangely, RESTART.
rbinck, what's your background with U-Verse?
