I have a HTPC and will be hooking it up to my HDTV when i get one.
What do people recommend to use as the media center software?

I am running Windows Server 2003 and play alot video encoded with xvid, divx, etc. (non-MS codecs) ..

I currently use XBMC on my modded Xbox and LOVE it -- i believe there is a XMBC port for windows but i have yet to research this.

Can anyone suggest any other media center sofwares i should check out?

thanks

Empire29, why don't you just get rid of the Windows Server 2003 and try Windows Media Edition? You're running a server based operating system. In addition, there aren't that many all-in-one built in media based OS's around anyway. Most of the time if you're playing DVD's you can just use the likes of Windows Media Player, Powerd DVD, ArcSoft Media Theatre, WinDVD, and even Real Player 11. I mean, when it comes to computers, the Windows based Multimedia Edition is great for some users. Just a thought. Peace...:)
