Well I done my first fantasy draft today & grabbed Favre & now I am glad I did as he should put up good stats there.

But back to reality...I thought the reason for coming back to the NFL was ONLY to win a Super Bowl?
There is not a QB in the NFL that could lead that team to the SB I don't think. But who knows.

I had heard speculation a few days ago that he might be traded to Tampa Bay, but this is still a surprise if true to me. I don't have a clue if Tampa Bay will be a contender this year, but Favre must think so.

soooo.......

what about jeff garcia?? isnt he still there? I'm not saying he is better than farve or anything, but that has got to be a lot of money tied up to the qb position on that team. I know GB wants a vet qb involved in any trade -- their backup is a rookie currently -- but i didn't hear anything about garcia going. They did mention greise, but not garcia. Can't see him wanting to be a backup to anyone, even farve.

Garcia doesn't have a big contract that TB has to worry about the last I heard. If TB can get Farve and not have to give up too much it will be a great move. Both Garcia and Farve are old but one is durable, has a bunch of NFL records, and a ring; the other has none of those. Pretty simply choice for TB if they can pull it off.

I know this isn't a huge prediction, but here's what I think will happen:

Aaron Rogers will be a bust (either by injury or performance) and Packers management is going to be crucified by the Packers fans.

Every week there is going to be a comparison between Favre and Rogers and I just think this is going to be a disaster for the Packer franchise - in the short term.

That has me wondering, who is rogers backup if he gets injured? I'd hate to be him...thrown in the fire like that

I think the only other QB on their roster is Brian Brohm. He could possibly do alright, but he really dropped in the draft.

I thnk Rodgers may turn out to be a decent QB

EH I just checked, they also have Matt Flynn ( another rookie ) who I hate for beating Miami in their last bowl game when JaMarcus Russell went down the previous game on the roster.

SOBAY you just hate Rodgers cuz he played for CAL

If Aaron Rodgers does not win THIS year the Packers Head Coach, GM, & Owner will need to be put in the witness protection program....I am not joking...you all know some people take their NFL teams very, very serious & it will be a horrible mess in GB if Rodgers can't play well. And you can't go off the little bit he played against Dallas last year.

And yes Rodgers backup is Brian Brohm, wich is why Griese will probably part of the deal.

I'm curious as to how Brett can play in the heat. I went to a Bucs/Redskins game in Tampa at the end of November and it was hot as hell.

Looks like Bret is a Jet and not a Buc. What the Buc is he thinking. Good luck with all that. They will probably change the team name to the Bretts now...:D

Oh, and the Bears swept Green Bay last year (2 of thier 3 losses)with Brett, so sorry to see him go.
