HELP RE HD to Infocus LP850

When I connect my Verizon set top box HDMI out to the DVI in on my Indesign LP850, I get 720X480. I can get 480p using component. Is it possible to improve on this?

The LP850 is not an HD projector. The best you can do is 1024x768.

Does your HD box have component video out? You can run a cable with component on one end and VGA on the other to your projector to see if that works.

You would need a Transcoder. VGA is RGB while Component is not. They are not cheap.

I've used a VGA to Component video cable before. It's all analog. That's how a lot of projectors accept an HD signal.
