Would there be a chance of getting a moderator for the For Sale/Trade Forum that can actively keep up and delete posts that are blatenely spam?
It sucks to try and browse through there looking to find out who's selling what that I might need and have to filter through all the garbage to find actual people that have stuff for sale.

If you see threads/posts that are pure :spam: then use the REPORT feature and request to have them reviewed/removed.

As Lee stated, it is best to just use the report feature (triangle icon in lower left corner of each post) to bring it to our attention. Just type "SPAM" as the reason for the reporting.

That is an option, in fact I have reported spam many times. But seeing as how it is a daily occurrence, it seems to me, and obviously at least one other person, that somebody could check it a few times a day to weed out the spam that is always there. Anyone could do it, heck I'll volunteer myself!
That shoes guy for example, was reported by me and while the posts from a few days are gone, new ones keep showing up. It's never ending, so why have dozens of people reporting the spam in that section when you could have a moderator go check it once in a while instead of receiving a bunch of spam reports every day?

By just clicking the report icon and then typing the word "SPAM" you are helping, and it is the simplest way to get rid of them. For a mod to have to read every post/thread on this site several times a day it would be the equivalent of TWO full time jobs at a minimum and likely even more time than that. If everyone just takes 5 seconds on each spam post they come across it will allow us to remove them faster and more completely get rid of them.
Many people taking a few seconds saves many hours per day for the nods to do other things we all want done on the site. This is mostly a self-policing site as most people like it, but with that comes the active participation of all members to help keep/improve the site how we all love it now. ;)

I reported Mr shoes a couple of day's ago also. It get's pretty annoying but if we all just keep reporting it hopefully it will get better.

I have soft deleted these posts with the message that it was deleted because it broke the forum rules. Hopefully this poster will get the message and stop this. If not then further steps will likely be taken.
If you see spam use the report button and I will do my best to take care of it ASAP.

I moderate the For Sale/Trade/Wanted section of a rather large automotive board. I get an e-mail EVERYTIME a new thread is posted in that particluar forum on the board. I go through and delete he spam as it comes in. Now to be honest they don't get nearly the amount of spam that HDF gets and they also have an army of mods that help take care of any spam or other problems on the board.
I mainly check each thread to look for anyone breaking vendor rules, but it helps keep the spam down to.
Have you guys looked at adding extra moderators to help with things like this?

I think that might be a possibility at some pint, but most people seem to like the character of this site because it is largely a self-policing site. With the freedoms of such a site, comes some form of responsibility to help the mods out by reporting what is seen so we can act on it without reading every post made like that site you are referring to.
I hate spammers and I will start watching this section closer to stomp it when I see it. We need the help of members like yourself though so we can do it as fast and efficient as possible.

We just added a mod, PFC, and we don't need any more.
As PFC stated in the post following yours, we are a self policing forum for the most part, and it's nice that way.
We should just direct all spammers to the "Promotions, Announcements, Hot Deals" section of the forum. That section specifically states:
Please keep Spam to this forum.

Well if they understand that they have 2 options, either A) keep it in the right section of the forum, or B) get their posts/threads deleted, they may be okay with living by option A.
