I've had the 880 for over a year with no complaints, but recently I find that several keys require an extra-hard push and one (volume up) has stopped working altogether. I've mapped the volume up and down to different keys now, but it appears that the keyboard is slowly going south.
Does anyone else have this problem and how can it be solved? I have no reservations with opening the unit up if there is a reliable method for bringing the keyboard back to life.

I would call/email Logictec and see if they will replace it for you, if not maybe they have some steps to clean the contacts.
Good Luck

What do you know? I have the same problem with my 880. I've had it for a few years and have always found it to be a great remote. Over the last year or so it has gotten less responsive, particularly the volume up and channel up buttons. I have not contacted Logitech about it, but I did replace it in my family room with the Harmony One. That remote is very nice and I am enjoying it a lot. The touch screen is great looking and very responsive. The buttons are also easier to find and access. The 880 has been demoted to the bedroom, with much less responsibility. Because it's such a nice remote, I'd like to keep it in service. Probably time to call or e-mail Logitech. :what:
Did anyone actually call Logitech and if so what was their response?
